Aran Woollen Mills knits in County Mayo, on the west coast of Ireland, and is still family-owned.

The stitches are the real thing - cable, diamond and honeycomb, the patterns Aran island families knitted by hand long before anyone sold them. The range covers sweaters and cardigans, ponchos and capes, scarves, hats and headbands.

Merino and undyed Irish wool throughout, not acrylic. If you have been sent a genuine Aran sweater from home, this is the same thing.
