The pottery that is not a mug. The Gluggle Jug from Wade Ceramics is the one visitors always pick up first - a fish-shaped jug that gurgles as it pours, from a design first made in Staffordshire in the 1870s and still hand-finished in Stoke-on-Trent today.

Cauldon Ceramics supplies traditional Brown Betty teapots, Emma Bridgewater the egg cups and small tableware, and Lesser & Pavey the novelty salt and pepper sets and tea tidies. Nearly all of it is made in Staffordshire, the historic home of English pottery.
