# Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream

**Sudocrem** was made up in Dublin in 1931 by Thomas Smith, a professor of pharmacy, and has sat in Irish and British bathroom cabinets ever since.

It started life as Smith's Cream, then Soothing Cream - and the name only became Sudocrem because of how "soothing" sounds in a Dublin accent. Used for nappy rash, minor grazes, chafing and dry patches. This is the genuine imported version, which is what people who grew up with it come looking for.
