# Jackets

Two brands, split almost evenly. **Barbour** brings the waxed cotton it has made in South Shields since 1894 - Bedale and Beaufort jackets, diamond quilting and the Liddesdale gilet.

**Dubarry** brings the Irish side from County Galway: waxed cotton and tweed country coats cut a little closer, with leather trim.

Wax jackets are bought once and re-proofed for years rather than replaced. When yours needs a tin, the [Barbour care collection](/collections/accessories-clothing-care) has it. Men's and women's sizes throughout.
