# Barbour Jackets for Women

Barbour has been making waxed cotton in South Shields since 1894, and holds royal warrants for it. The women's range here covers the three things they are known for: wax jackets, diamond-quilted coats and gilets.

Wax jackets are the ones that last decades - they mark, they soften, and they get re-waxed rather than replaced. Quilted styles are lighter and easier to wear over a jumper. Gilets sit between the two.
