# Barbour Wax & Clothing Care

Waxed cotton needs re-waxing roughly once a year, and this is where you get what you need to do it. These are **Barbour's** own care products - thornproof dressing, reproofing wax and the cleaners made specifically for waxed and quilted jackets.

Ordinary detergent strips the wax and ruins the finish, so it is worth using the right thing. If you have bought a wax jacket from our [jackets collection](/collections/clothing-jackets), one tin here will keep it weatherproof for another season.
